Classic EuropeThe Classic Europe tour with Expat was amazing. Everything was very convenient and well organised. Adam our tour guide and Florin our driver did wondeful jobs to make sure we saw and did everything on schedule and gave us special treats with some extra free times to enjoy the places where they could. We had such a great time with the tour itself and the people we met in the tour group were very lovely and we kept in touch. This tour sets such a high standard for our next trips! Best of Central Europe
Best of Central EuropeI though the Intrepid tour was fantastic. The group leader did a great job in looking after us and providing us with good orientation in all the countries we visited. The only point that could be improved, was in relation to accommodation. In Prague, five people were placed in the one hotel with one bathroom and toilet. This is not really ideal, however, when we raised this issue, our group leader went out of his way to provide an alternate accommodation for my husband and I. I felt that this was really good and we were very pleased with the outcome. The other tour participants were great and I recommend this to anyone who is interested in a great holiday. Europe Escape
Europe EscapeI just got back from my 3rd solo trip with Expat Explorer & can't wait to join some more. This time was a 12 day Christmas and New Year's Europe Escape 2023/2024 and being the first time I was ever away from home for the holidays, it was truly magical, everything I imagined plus more. Our tour guide Luke was very personable, knowledgeable, caring and simply fun. He went out of his way to make sure each and everyone of us was well taken care of & provided plenty of ideas/options to us to get the most we could get out of each and every single day. Luke even dressed up as Santa Claus on Christmas Day!?! Our driver, James, was very professional, courtesies and when able, took the time to get to know us but always made it a priority to get us to our next destination as well as keep us safe. This tour is fast-paced with plenty of early morning departures and lots of walking but in doing so, the trade off is that you get to experience as much as possible in each of the various destination cities along the way. As a solo traveler, I never felt unsafe or alone and the camadarie of our group was instant. I appreciate that Expat Explorer allows you the freedom to decide between various pre-set excursions in the various destinations or the opportunity to explore on your own and/or even some combo of the two. If you are on the fence about one these tours, I say do your self a favor and just book it :) - Christie Fick

The Great Adventure
The Great AdventureI had an amazing experience on the 14 day tour. After Covid lockdowns, my daughter and I were eager to travel overseas and see places we haven’t been to. Everything on the tour was so well organised and the tour guides Enmanuelle, Phillipe and Oksana were very informative and knowledgeable. They all did an exceptional job. All the hotels we stayed at were very clean, spacious and had a big variety for breakfast. The only suggestion would be to have the option for travellers to return to hotels earlier. Days started early and involved lots of walking and the free time should be an option to return to hotel. A note to travellers would be to be cautious In Amsterdam of dodgy uber drivers asking you to cancel trips and to pay in cash. Also in shops if you don’t see the price for an item don’t tap your card for purchases because you will be in for a big shock when you check your account balance.

European Delight
European DelightOverall I, and my companions, enjoyed the trip however there were some significant elements which we were not happy with. On the TWO itineraries we received for Rome the following was noted: "08.30hrs- In the morning, we have a scenic tour of the city, which will be a great introduction to “The Eternal city”. We enter the tinystate of the Vatican. The Vatican City is a principal centre of Christianity in the world. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica. And wehave also included admission to the Roman Coliseum, the principal symbol of Rome.’ Day 2: Rome TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour of Rome. Roman Coliseum (admission price included). It’s clear from the above two notes that we would visit the Coliseum – admission included! Yet, we did NOT visit the Colosseum but walked through the less interesting and impressive Forum. We were very disappointed as the Colosseum was one of the sites we were looking forward to visiting. We were not aware of Europamundo's 'circuit' format which required we frequently changed coaches, drivers and tour directors. This was somewhat disconcerting as we were required to remember which bus we were on and who our director was at a time when we were on holidays and looking for something of a stress free vacation. Most of the tour directors were excellent, though we found the second director, who travelled with us from Innsbruk to Prague, was at times brusque and seemed to prioritise Spanish-speaking travellers when they joined us. We were disappointed that most of the options were not raised with us - except the option to Moulin Rouge because tickets had not been pre-booked. Similarly, we waited hours to access the Eiffel Tower because tickets had not been pre-purchased despite the fact that it was part of the trip rather than an option. We had pre-paid for a canal trip in Amsterdam, however it wasn't mentioned by the director and so we missed out on that. We were reimbursed. Though we enjoyed the trip and cities we visited, for the reasons above I wouldn’t choose Europamundo for future vacations,.

Anatolian Civilizations | 10 DaysBe ready. This is the full on history-packed introduction to Turkey and all previous occupying civilizations. The days are jam packed with interesting stuff but tiring and lots of walking. Don’t expect to have even one afternoon of downtime at the pool. That’s not what this tour is about. You will have a variety of experiences, some totally unexpected (a visit to a leathery including fashion show!). Our ongoing guide was Nadir who is superb in every way. This tour is for learning but you will have fun. The hotels are uniformly good as well as the meals. Be prepared to purchase lunch on all days and a dinner/breakfast on a couple of days. Cappadocia balloon tour is more expensive through agency than what you can arrange yourself. Cave hotel, in my view, is not worth the extra payment.

A Touch of Europe (11 destinations)Hotel in Rome was below 3 star, very dirty and worn. Glad to say from there on the hotels were all good to excellent. We had three guides ( Eva was excellent!!!!!) would have preferred to stay as a group, found people coming and going at different destinations. But got to meet a lot of people.

We wanted to leave this review for Adam, our tour guide and Florin, our bus driver. They were absolutely amazing on our tour. We felt very fortunate to have them right from the moment the tour started. Adam is kind, knowledgeable and made us feel safe every step of the way. This was our very first overseas trip and we came from Australia. For us, it was a big moment in our life. We felt very grateful to be in the hands of Adam and Florin. Adam ran the tour with expertise and fun. He had everything organised, our itinerary for each day was set out and everything was explained very well. We have met life long friends, saw so many amazing places, ate some delicious food and overall had the most wonderful time. Loved every part of our experience. Thank you so much Adam.

We loved and enjoyed our tour from Athens to Belgrade with Choose Balkans and Alfred (Alfie) as our tour guide and driver. We have been to 130 countries to date and Alfred is in our top 3 best tour guide list. He is excellent. The itinerary was well thought of, with all the highlights of each destination visited. Alfred provided us with the historical background of each attraction. Having a small group is absolutely a plus. There were 7 of us in an 8 passenger van. We communicated through social media when we were not in the van so a regional or global sim is advisable but not a must because all the hotels had free wifi. Since it was a small group, the guide had ample time to entertain our questions such as currency used and accepted and good places to eat. I recommend Choose Balkans and hopefully, we can do more tours with them someday. Faleminderit!
