Each day was a true adventure, following both an itinerary and improvising based on weather, location and time of day. We met really cool people on the tour and had fun with them when we had some free time to roam around. Cool part was you can hang with them or just do your own thing with no problem. This trip was one my wife and I have never done before. Yet I would certainly recommend it for those who want to experience a unique and fun trip filled with awesome adventures throughout Scotland!

Wonders of Britain and Ireland (15 Days)Once on the trip it was good. The communication prior to getting there left something to be desired. (We were bumped out at one point and until I called was told there was nothing to be done, which caused a great deal of anxiety.) The tour director, Chris was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed enthusiastic about most subjects. The hotels were all good and beds (except one very soft one) were fairly comfortable. The add-ons, which I did all of were good except the last 2 were very slow meal service and the last one- farewell dinner was not great. But overall good food, (if a bit the same every time.) Since my friend and I had never been on a tour (booking all the ad-ons) may have been too much. We were exhausted and a few days prior to the end were wishing it was over. The packing up suitcases daily (or a couple of times 2 days) was also tiring and daunting since we've always traveled to a single destination and would only pack up the last day. The driver was very good. Probably next time I'll do a single destination and explore from there.

Britain and Ireland Highlights (10 Days)Emma was the best ever travel director we have ever had. It was a fantastic 10 day trip. Our high light was Edinburgh Castle and the beautiful views. Our second favorite was in Dublin with the great show of Irish Dancing and singing. Also the “Farewell Dinner Be My Guest experience” was wonderful and learn a lot about the vineyard.

But I was very upset with the fact that I was lied to about the Edinburgh Military Tattoo being included in m y tour., All some one with your company or CIE needed to do was tell me when I ask 3 different times to be sure I would see it and was told that I would, that I would need to take a later tour I would of have been happy to do so.

Wonders of Britain and Ireland (15 Days)Great tour, excellent Tour director and driver. Trafalgar did an excellent job managing the tour. Some of the rooms were not comfortable though (noisy, too small bathrooms). We had one good day for laundry but the second time was very expensive.

It was an amazing experience going to the Highlands for the first time with MacBackpackers. It was a life time dream to visit Scotland, I had huge expectations when I booked this trip and it was exceeded! Why, you ask? Bunch of reasons, some of then being: Great itinerary, had the most places I wanted to go; Flexibility on the itinerary; Increadible guide, Neil is doing this for almost a million years and he's sooo sooo knowledgeble, an amazing storyteller, responsible driver and great person altogether (also he knows some secret and less know spots that are totally worthy and I didn't saw other company's going there); The places we got to visit are breathtaking (the photos you'll take will be beautiful, of course, but also won't do perfect justice, trust me when you see those places live, you'll understand); Bus is great, confy seats, always clean; In relation to other company's this one has a smaller group and it makes a good difference; Lots of time off the bus; Amazing hikes; Last but not least that are high chances that the group of people that you get to meet in this tour will be amazing, I'm very glad to meet everyone I did for sure; Hope that they bring back the 7 days tour, cuz I'll definately be doing that. The most time in the Highlands the better. If you have any doubts about going to Scotland at all or going on this tour, this is your sign to booked it now. Core memory type of experience.

My first Insight Tour and it was amazing. Scenic tour of the beautiful countryside, towns, and historic sites of England, Scotland, Wales, and Republic of Ireland. Our Travel Director, Greg, was very professional, knowledgeable of the history, culture, food, music, and local 'celebrities'. Greg and our driver (Arthur - the best) worked together as a team, making our trip enjoyable, memorable, and fun. Always courteous, respectful, and conscientious of our time, safety, and well-being. Good job!
