This tour is a good one, and our tour director Vivien Samu is very knowledgeable about Greece. Vivien was also very helpful and always tried her best to solve our issues if there was any.

We loved the tour of the Greek islands. In future we suggest that the tour details be emailed earlier, like a week before the trip at the very least. And the tour leader should set up a group chat eg WhatsApp and send the daily times and schedule out that way. It could be used to announce birthdays daily weather etc. I know not everyone uses WhatsApp but those few who’s phones don’t have the capability can be advertised via text or verbally. We feel there was a lack of information on this tour. The last hotel we stayed at was very close to the airport and very loud. The first hotel in Athens was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in Europe. We also believe that the tour is falsely advertised. The first day was non existent. We met the tour group at 10am on the second day. The last day is also non existent. We headed to the airport at 6.30am. The tour should be advertised as a 6 day tour not 8.

This is suppose to be a 10 day Island Hopper tour. 3 days in each location. We actually spent 1 day in Athens. Complained to Globus and got this ridiculous answer back from them. "Please know the itinerary does state Day 1 arrive in Greece, on Day 2 that is a full day in Athens then Day 3 you leave Athens to continue your vacation." We arrived after 6:00 PM on Day 1 and yes, they did our air. Day 3 we also left very early in the morning. Can't see how that is 3 days. Be very careful booking with them.

My daughter (aged 21) and I celebrated the completion of her degree with the Mediterranean Legends Tour, 2 nights in Athens, 3 day island cruise, 1 night back in Athens. It was fantastic, beyond what we had hoped for. So many stunning views and 'wow' moments all facilitated by fantastic tour operators Christine and Sabrina and with excellent local guides on each of the excursions. A visit to the Acropolis and walk through Mykonos were included, and in addition we paid for excursions to the ancient ruins of Ephesus, Monastery of St John on Patmos, Knossos Palace in Crete and Temple of Poseidon at Sounion. Of these Ephesus and Sounion were our favourites - one for its history (John was a fantastic Turkish guide), and the other for the stunning views, a fitting end to our holiday. Santorini was also a favourite destination where we enjoyed a ride up the cable car and wander around the town. Insight Vacations were a first class company and we felt very well cared for. Hotel Divani Caravel is lovely, particularly the rooftop pool with views over Athens; and the cruise ship Celestyal Olympia was a good size and with a range of facilities and activities. Best of all we enjoyed walking around the decks to watch the views and were pleased to have a cabin with a window. This was our first cruise and a great experience. It was busy with early starts and optional late evenings so we soon got into the local pattern of an afternoon siesta! All in all a wonderful holiday, and the airport transfers in air-conditioned luxury were much appreciated!
