Taste of Scotland & Ireland - 10 Days/9 NightsThe Taste Of Scotland/ Ireland tour is not for the faint of heart. The first 3-4 days are exhausting- constantly on the go with much time spent in the bus. The tour is highly organized and well-planned, but conversely extremely rigid with little free time. The tour relaxed a bit once we reached Edinburgh- this also might be because our tour guide Liz departed the group at this point. She was awful- anxious, nasty, impatient, and rude. After she left, the tour vastly improved. Garry was our driver for the entire time and the primary guide from Edinburgh thru Ireland. The Ireland portion was more relaxed with a little more free time. In general, this was a good experience, but with a very stressful start. One recommendation for CIE would be to reverse the order in Scotland- start in Edinburgh, spend 2 nights there allowing the group to acclimate before starting hours long bus rides. After reaching Nairn, then drive south to Glasgow. This would shorten the journey to the Belfast ferry by an hour if we had started the ride in Glasgow. The trip was a good value for the price- I didn't have to spend much on my own once I was there.

We saw so much that it was hard to comprehend. Very much enjoyed the hotels, the included excursions and the extra excursions that were optional. I would travel with them again.

10-Day Ultimate Ireland Small Group TourWe just finished an outstanding 10-day Ultimate Ireland Small Group Tour with our exceptional guide, Finn! We selected this tour as it had, for us, the right combination of the highlights of Ireland and varied activities, it included both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, and it was a small group tour. This tour absolutely exceeded our already high expectations! The itinerary proved to be excellent, but a lot of the credit for the success of the tour has to go to Finn. Like any good teacher, he is truly passionate about his country and sharing all it has to offer! He shared his knowledge and love of Irish history, literature, culture, sports and music throughout the tour which added so much depth and color to our adventure. Finn is competent, personable, patient, funny, and flexible — to name a few of his many virtues. He proved to be an excellent driver as we traversed many winding, narrow and challenging roads! He kept us on schedule, made modifications when needed, and provided us with a smooth running tour and a once in a lifetime experience for our group! We highly recommend Finn and the 10-day Ultimate Ireland Small Group Tour! We made new friends and enjoyed a lot of fun and laughter along the way!!

Loved the variety of experiences from the beautiful landscapes, to the incredible history, the music,and the hands on time with sheep,,,,, hikes, shopping etc. food in Ireland was amazing while food in Scotland not as good especially our final night. My expectations perhaps were a little high but that last night’s dinner was food wise a disappointment.

Very nice itinerary ... jam packed days and evenings. I chose not to do any of the extra evening excursions that were offered so I was able to use the time to explore every overnight stop on my own. The tour guide was amazing... so full of knowledge about all the countries/areas we visited.

Wonderful! First time traveling outside of the US alone. It was a beautiful tour! Henry was amazing! He was full of knowledge and fun facts. The itinerary was awesome and well organized.
