Northern Lights Escape
Northern Lights EscapeA great tour that enabled us to see the key sites around the Golden Circle and the Southern coast of Iceland. We were taken to some great spots that weren't even on the official itinerary such as Fjaðrárgljúfur and Gljúfrabúi. The Northern Lights were somewhat elusive given the awful weather that we encountered but we did eventually see them on the last night. The accommodation provided was good, though the evening meals were a bit of a mixed bag for what you paid. The daytime meals were provided at local bakeries which were much better value for money. The guide was very friendly and despite not being a native Icelander, had lived in the country for a number of years so had a good level of base knowledge about the country and its people.

Land of the Northern Lights - 5 daysThe tour was not run by On the go, which was a bit of a surprise. We had a guide/driver who provided information and drove us to the sights. He was relaxed and funny so it was a nice vibe. We saw everything we came for and it was enjoyable. My only feedback would be to have a WhatsApp group or a poster for us to photograph - this would make meeting times, breakfast and leaving times clearer. I loved Iceland and this was a very affordable tour.

3 Day - Golden Circle, South Coast, Jökulsárlón & Ice CaveOverall, the tour was really nice. Of course, there was a lot of rain on the day we went to the "ice cave", which was not really a cave as you think of cave, but a walk through a very open "tunnel" to another open area. We stood in the rain in the parking lot getting a 15 to 20 minute speech on the glacier, then got another 10 minute speech in the "cave area" and then had only a couple minutes to take photos and really take in the site. On a sunny day the speech may have been easy to pay attention to, but not in the cold rain. And I wish we had more time to look around. I feel like there could have been less talking in the "cave" so we had more time to take photos, since time was so limited to begin with. But again overall the tour was very nice.

Northern Lights Exploration - 8 days10/10 tour- Couldn’t have asked for a better itinerary!! We saw northern lights on two nights and each day had a fantastic day filled with a mix of beautiful sights, historical information, educational and our tour guide added lots of folklore. Everything from stories about the Vikings, early settlements and the trolls. We added the ice caves tour. All agreed you would never see so much on your own! This was our first group tour- we usually do solo traveling- 26 people on our tour from all over the world- sounds big but was actually 10 families/couples, so was perfect size to meet so many great people! At so many of the stops you can break off (walking to waterfalls/climbing the volcano) so you were not on top of people the entire time. Do your research on food as meal variety was limited- not by tour but hotel restaurants had limited items- lamb, fish and usually a burger. Stopping at Market first day helped to work around food allergies - bought GF snacks/bread for the trip. Comfortable coach bus- great driver! If you want to see Iceland this is the trip!! You won’t regret this tour.

We were looked after and had great accommodation The glacier hike was intense but an incredible experience The volcano excursion was amazing A bonus on the golden circle trip was the northern lights. It would have been helpful to have known where we were booked in overnight on our day before the last day tour so we could have booed to stay the extra night to save the hassle of finding alternative accommodation Apart from that it was excellent with tour guides friendly and very happy to keep us updated with history and other information

5 Days Self-Drive | Golden Circle, South CoastI really enjoyed visiting Iceland with a self-driving tour. We had a Kia Rio with an automatic gearbox, which helped us to reach all fascinating spots. The travel plan provided by the tour guide was very useful and helped a lot in planning, and saved us time. I'd recommend taking this tour if you don't like crowds and buses.
